Eosinophilic pancreatitis (EP) is a rare form of chronic pancreatitis, of unknown aetiology, characterised by localised or diffuse eosinophilic infiltration of the pancreas and elevated serum immunoglobulin E levels, excluding reactive and otherwise known causes of tissue or haematoeosinophilia.
