(¤ 28.04.1902, † 1958) The Dutch dermatologist Zoon was born in Wijk en Aalenburg. He studied medicine in Utrecht and received his doctorate in 1928. Doctorate in 1929. In 1945, at the age of 43, following in the footsteps of his teacher van Leeuwen, elected as dermatological professor at the University of Utrecht. 1950 first description of the balanposthitis chronica circumscripta plasmacellularis named after Zoon. Zoon died on 28.1.1958 at the age of only 55 years due to an apoplexy.
