Depilation of 30 to 50 hairs at 2 standard depilation sites (occipital and frontal) at the earliest 5 days after the last hair wash. After shortening, the hairs are spread out on a slide in as parallel an arrangement as possible so that the ends and hair shafts can be assessed. In the hair root status the standard values are: 80% anagen hairs (incl. dysplastic); 0-2% catagen hairs; up to 20% telogen hairs; up to 2% dystrophic hairs.
