(¤ 1883,  1961) Dermatologist. Studied medicine in Paris, doctorate in 1906. After 1916, he worked in several positions in Besançon and Paris. In 1932, in succession to Lortat-Jacob Leiter, he was appointed director of a dermatological department at the Hôpital Saint Louis in Paris. The name Touraine is associated with many diseases and syndromes and points to a versatile and highly talented dermatologist. Exemplary are the following publications:

  • 1942 Cockayne-Touraine syndrome (Epidermolysis bullosa dystrophica localisata)
