Readiness to bleed in the form of petechiae or extensive ecchymosis, especially in mechanically stressed body parts.

For Cushing's syndrome and hypercorticism of other genesis (e.g. renal tumour).

Treatment of the underlying disease. In iatrogenic Cushing's syndrome, reduction of glucocorticoid slowly and under control of blood sugar and kidney parameters; in pronounced forms, administration of an anabolic agent such as metenolone acetate (e.g. Primobolan) 100 mg i.m. every 14 days.
