(¤ 02.12.1856, † 1933) Dermatologist, working in Paris Louis Aguste Vincent Jules Queyrat was born in Meymanat in the south of France and comes from a well-known family of doctors. He studied at the Lycée-Louis-Le-Grand in Paris. He became an "intern" in 1881, further training at L'Hôpital des Enfants-Malades. 1884 employment at L`Hôpital Tenon. Later studies led him to the Insitut Pasteur. 1911 groundbreaking description of the erythroplasia named after Queyrat. During the First World War, he headed the syphilis clinic at L'Hôpital Dominique Larrey. In 1928, he was called to Geneva as a syphilis expert by the League of Nations.
