(¤ 1907, † 1990) Albin Hans Sigo Proppe was born on 19.07.1907 in Trier as the son of an architect. There he attended the Realgymnasium. Studied medicine in Jena and Frankfurt/Main.1931 doctorate in Frankfurt. 1932 first dermatological training with E. Lange/Berlin. In 1933 he moved to Hans Theodor Schreuss in Düsseldorf. 1936 habilitation. 1939 senior physician; 1943 appointment as full professor at the Medical Academy Düsseldorf. Further teachers were E. Hoffmann/Bonn and P.Hass/Duisburg. 1950 Call to the Dermatology Clinic of the Christian-Albrecht-University of Kiel. 1954 Appointment as a regular full professor. Albin Proppe died on 29.10. 1990 in Kiel. Field(s) of research: Radiotherapy, infant hemangioma, venereology, epidemiology.
