(¤ 1874, † 1932) Dermatologist, working in Prague, Teplice, Vienna Walter Pick was the son of Filipp Josef Pick. Studied in Prague, first dermatological training at his father's clinic (1998-1900), then 2 years with A. Neisser in Breslau, 1903-1912 scientific assistant with G.Riehl in Vienna. 1907-1920 head of the skin department of the first Vienna Children's Hospital. 1908 habilitation. During the First World War he served first as a regimental doctor at the front and later as head physician of a 500-bed venereal hospital. Together with J. Jadassohn and A . Neisser, W. Pick was editor of the Archive for Dermatology and Syphilis and co-founder of the Zentralblatt für Haut und Geschlechtskrankheiten.
