(¤ 1880, † 1947) Paul Mulzer, coming from Munich, took up the newly created, first ordinariate for dermatology in the city of Hamburg on 15.10.1924. Under his directorship extensive extensions were made in the dermatological clinic (serological and histological laboratory, photo laboratory, library etc.). Mulzer was a member of the NSDAP and SA and belonged to the NS association of lecturers. One of his inglorious deeds was his charges in 1943 against Josef Degkwitz, a professor of paediatrics known as a political opponent of the Nazi system, which led to his conviction and 7 years in prison. Mulzer was granted leave on 22.05.1945 and released on 02.07.1945 by order of the military government. Mulzer was the author of numerous books. His field of research was the venereal diseases.
