(¤ 1897, † 1973) Dermatologist. Born in Bern in 1897 as son of Joseph Jadassohn. Studied medicine in Bern; state examination here in 1922. Dermatological training together with Guido Miescher at the Dermatology Clinic of the University of Zurich under Bruno Bloch. Habilitation in 1928 on the subject of allergy studies in ascaridiosyncrasia. After the unexpected death of Bloch in 1933, he opened a private practice in Zurich. 1946 Appointment as full professor at the Dermatological University Clinic in Geneva. 1957 Call to the Dermatological University Clinic Vienna, which he declined. Field(s) of research: Allergology; skin physiology, especially sweat and sebum secretion, acne and rosacea.
