(¤ 1897, 1973) Dermatologist, Karl Hoede was born on 05/06/1897 in Zerbst (Anhalt). Approbation: 04.09.1926 in Leipzig, doctorate on 17.12.1926 in Würzburg, habilitation on 09.12.1931 in Würzburg. Karl Hoede worked at the University Dermatological Clinic in Würzburg since 04.09.1926. Since 1939 he was associate professor and deputy head of the clinic, since 1940, in succession to Karl Zieler, full professor and full professor at the Dermatological Clinic in Würzburg, which he headed until 1946. Karl Vohwinkel was appointed as his successor in 1946 (1946-1949).

The negative role of Karl Hoede, as a dermatologist influenced by National Socialism (NSDAP member) is documented many times. Hoede examined, among other things, skin diseases such as psoriasis with regard to the applicability of the Law for the Prevention of Hereditary Diseases and came to the conclusion: "Urgently desired is a decision as to which skin diseases a marriage is not in the interest of the national community."
