(¤ 9.7.1914, † 21.12.2009 ) German dermatologist. Herzberg was born in Berlin as the son of a pharmacist. Studied medicine in Berlin. Afterwards military service. During the 2nd World War he was a medical officer and head of a medical company. Clinical-dermatological training in Berlin at the Virchow Hospital and at the Charité. 1951 change to J. Kimmig in Hamburg. On 1.7.1964 Herzberg was appointed Director of the Dermatological Clinic at the Zentralkrankenhaus St.-Jürgen-Straße where he worked until 1979. His focus was on morphological clinical and histological dermatology. In 1979 the clinic went to Wolfgang P. Herrmann, in 1994 to F.A. Bahmer. In 1968 Herzberg published together with K. Potjan and D. Gebauer, Herzberg published the first description of hypertrichosis lanuginosa acquisita.
