(¤ 1841,  1899) German dermatologist. Clinical dermatological training in Vienna, Paris and London. 1874 private dermatological practice in Frankfurt. In 1876 he set up a polyclinic for skin patients in Frankfurt, which was later extended by a ward block. He published annual reports about this polyclinic, from 1888 together with his youngest brother Karl Herxheimer.
