Acronym for the indolocarbazole "6-formylindolo-carbazole", a photoproduct generated by photo-oxidation and resulting from the amino acid tryptophan (tryptone phadimer: dimer = molecule or a molecular compound consisting of two often identical subunits, the monomers).
