Collective term for the use of electric current in connection with acupuncture. A distinction is made between electrostimulation to increase the stimulation of the acupuncture needles with electrical impulses and electro-acupuncture according to Voll. This does not involve stimulation of the needles, but a variety of diagnostic-therapeutic healing methods. A special feature of Voll's method is drug testing. The aim is to measure drugs for their special suitability in the therapy of the patient. The method is not scientifically recognized, the authors are opposed to it.
