An auxanogram is a method in microbiology that allows the differentiation of pathogen species and types via the growth pattern of bacteria/fungi. The growth pattern is evaluated in a so-called "colourful row" depending on the available culture medium. In the mycological diagnostics, prefabricated block systems such as the commercial API Id 32C® from BioMerieux are available for quick determination, which can be evaluated by means of a specific key.
