Antibodies are glycoproteins (immunoglobulins) produced by B lymphocytes and plasma cells, and are the central effector molecules of specific humoral immunity. They can directly eliminate pathogens or pathogen components.
Antibody isotypes(immunoglobulins) belong to different classes: A, D, E, G, M. The different Ig classes have different tissue distributions and functions.
