VP/crotanate copolymers(copolymers are polymers composed of 2 different monomer units) are composed of a crotonic acid-vinylpyrrolidone(VP) polymer. VP/crotanates copolymers belong to the group of film forming substances, binders and hair setting polymers and are used in hair styling products, among other things, due to these (physical) properties.
Furthermore, this copolymer reduces static charges and ensures the cohesion of cosmetic preparations containing powders and powders. When applied, it forms a cohesive film on skin, hair or nails and thus enables the shaping of hairstyles.
