Tallowamidopropylamine oxide (inci)

Tallowamidopropylamine oxide refers to amide compounds of dimethylpropylamine and tallow fatty acids which are used in cosmetic formulations. They act as surfactant (washing-active substance; improves the even distribution of the products during application), antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface, e.g. of hair), solubilizer (is able to dissolve or dilute substances without causing chemical reactions between the dissolved substance and the dissolving substance), substance with cleansing effect and as foaming agent (increases foam formation and improves volume, structure and durability of the foam).
