Shorea robusta butter (inci)

Shorea robusta butter is a fat that is extracted from the fruits and seeds of the saltwater tree (also known as the dammer tree). The salt tree is an important tree species in the north of the Indian subcontinent. There it is forest forming (sal forest), a part of the monsoon forests.

Shorea robusta butter is used in cosmetic formulations. The extract acts as an emollient (makes the skin smooth and supple) and skin care product (keeps the skin in good condition).
