Pvm/ma copolymer (inci)

"PVM/MA" is the acronym for "poly (methyl vinyl ether-co-maleic anhydride), "copolymer" a polymer composed of several different monomers. PVM/MA copolymer is a mixture of substances used in cosmetic formulations. The mixture acts as a binder (ensures the desired cohesion of powdery, powdery or creamy products, prevents solids and liquid components from separating), emulsion stabilizer (supports the formation of emulsions and improves the resistance and durability of emulsions), film former (forms a film on skin, hair or nails when applied), antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface, e.g. of hair) and as a hair fixative.
