Oleamide is the carboxylic acid amide of oleic acid. Oleamide plays an important role in the organism as a neuromodulator. MIPA is the acronym for monoisopropanolamines, an organic (alcoholic) compound from the group of alkanolamines with the molecular formula C3H9NO and the linear formula CH3CH(OH)CH2NH2.

Oleamide MIPA is used in cosmetic formulations. The substance acts as an antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electric charge on the surface, e.g. of hair), viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products) and foaming agent (increases the foaming and improves volume, structure and foam).
