Myricyl alcohol is an aliphatic monoalcohol with the molecular formula C30H63OH. Myricyl alcohol or its esters are part of beeswax and carnauba wax. The melting point of the alcohol is 83°C. At room temperature it is therefore a solid mass. The alcohol acts as a viscosity regulator (increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetic products).
