Minkamidopropylamine oxide is used in cosmetic products. Minkamides are amide compounds of fatty acids from mink oil. The mink oil amide mixture acts as a surfactant (washing-active substance), solubilizer (increases the solubility of a substance which is only slightly soluble in water), cleanser (cleans the body surface), foaming agent (increases the foam formation and improves the volume, structure and durability of the foam).
