Minkamidopropyl betaine is used in cosmetic products. Minkamides are amide compounds of fatty acids from mink oil. The mink oil amide mixture acts as surfactant (washing-active substance) and skin care product. The substance also acts as a foaming agent (increases foam formation and improves the volume, structure and durability of the foam), cleanser (cleans the body surface) and hair conditioning agent (makes the hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume).
