Methylsilanol acetyltyrosines (inci)

Methylsilanol acetyltyrosine is a substance used in cosmetic substances. The substance acts as an antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface, for example of hair) and skin care product.

Silanols are derivatives of silanes. Silanes are silicon compounds and can be regarded as "silicon homologues" of alkanes based on a carbon skeleton. In silanols, one or more hydroxy groups are bound to a silicon atom. Silanols can therefore be regarded as silicon analogues of alcohols.
