Lanolin alcohol, also known as wool wax alcohol, is a complex combination of organic alcohols obtained by hydrolysis of lanolin.

Lanolin alcohol acts as an antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface of e.g. hair), emollient (makes the skin smooth and supple) and emulsifier (changes the interfacial tension of liquids like water and oil so that they can be mixed together).

Preparations: Amerchol® L-101
