Lactoglobulin, also known as beta-lactoglobulin, is a protein found in the milk of ruminants. Beta-lactoglobulin consists of 2 identical polypeptide chains.

Lactoglobulin is used in cosmetic formulations. The milk protein acts as an antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface of e.g. hair), skin care and hair conditioning agent (makes hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume).
