Dimethicone copolyol mango butterate is used in cosmetic formulations. The substance is an ester of a dimethylsiloxane-glycol copolymer and the mango butter. The substance acts as a hair conditioning agent (makes the hair easy to comb, smooth, soft and shiny and gives it volume). It also acts as a moisturizer (maintains the skin's moisture; increases the water content of the skin, moisturizes) and as an emollient (makes the skin supple and smooth).
