Dicocamine, a synthetic coconut fatty acid amine, is an emollient used in cosmetic formulations. The substance makes the skin smooth and supple. Dicoamine also acts as an emulsifier (changes the interfacial tension of liquids such as water and oil so that they can be mixed together) and antistatic agent (reduces static charges by neutralizing the electrical charge on the surface of skin and hair).
