Citrus medica limomum is an evergreen plant, from the genus of citrus fruits in the rue family. The plant reaches a height of about 3.00m. Its original area of distribution was South East Asia. The fruits are mostly processed into candied lemon peel.

The green leaves are oval with serrated leaf edges. The flowers are white, reddish at the bottom.
