Eingelegte unreife Blüten des Kapernstrauchs (Capparis spinosa L.), die sich einerseits durch einen hohen Nährwert, aber auch medizinische Wirkungen auszeichnet. Beliebt sind Kapern in der Küche v.a. für warme Fleisch- und Nudelgerichte, auch Saucen oder Salate.
