Myrtenol

Bizyklischer Alkoholmonoterpen, gewonnen aus dem ätherischen Öl (Myrtenöl) von Pflanzen wie bspw. Myrte oder Rosenwurz. Myrtenol entsteht bei der Luftoxidation von α-Pinen. 

 Antimikrobiell, entzündungshemmend, antioxidativ, antiapoptotisch, anxiolytisch, gastroprotektiv und antinozizeptiv.

Kosmetikindustrie: als Duftstoff in Kosmetika; auch in Reinigungsmitteln. s.a. Myrtus communis oil (INCI)
