Definition

Hippophae rhamnoides oil ist das Öl, das aus den Kernen der Sanddornfrucht (Hippophae rhamnoides) gewonnen und in kosmetischen Rezepturen eingesetzt wird.

Allgemeine Information

Das Sanddornöl ist reich an mehrfach ungesättigten Fettsäuren (Linolsäure, Linolensäure, Palmitoleinsäure) mit einem hohen Anteil an Carotin-derivaten sowie Vitamin C.

Der Extrakt wirkt antioxydativ, ausgleichend und stärkend auf die Haut. In experimentellen Ansätzen lassen sich heilungsfördernde Effekte auf Wunden (Edraki M et al. 2014) nachweisen. Weirterhin kann eine Verbesserung der Hautbarriere erzielt werden (Khan BA et al. 2014).
