Rare, clinical variant of giant keratoakanthoma with preferred centrifugal growth. Initially, Keratoacanthoma centrifugum marginatum develops from an inconspicuous reddish papule. In the initial growth phase, the typical morphological features and growth behaviour of the classical keratoacanthoma are evident (surprisingly rapid growth, central horn plug, marginal lip formation). Primary centrifugal growth results in reddish-brownish, solid, plate-like infiltrates of the skin with a nodular rim (Georgescu TA et al. 2017). In the central areas the tumour can heal completely. Complete spontaneous healing has been described (El-Khayat RH et al. 2014).
