Alchemillae herba

Naturopathically, the whole herb is used, but the root is not. The extract contains tannins (6-8% to max. 18%) and flavenoids (about 2%). The tannins belong mainly to the hydrolyzable tannins, which are also called ellagitannins. The main component is agrimoniin (gallotannin, a tannin composed of 4 hexahydroxydiphenic acid units).

Lady's mantle tea is used for mild (non-specific) diarrhea (A09.9) caused by gastrointestinal germs. In folk medicine, the tea is used for menstrual disorders and menopausal complaints.

Average daily dose 5.0-10.0g of the drug.

To prepare a tea infusion, pour 1 cup of hot water over 3 teaspoons (1 teaspoon = approx. 0.9 g) and sieve off after 10 minutes.
